1. Spectrum in 2022 (5G):
  • Legacy 2G/3G/4G Spectrum: Existing bands will continue to be utilized.
  • Low Bands: Frequencies such as 600 MHz and 700 MHz are essential for broad coverage.
  • Mid Bands: 3.5 GHz and 4.4-4.9 GHz offer a balance between coverage and capacity.
  • High Bands: 26 GHz and 28 GHz provide ultra-high-speed connections but with limited range.
2. Spectrum from 2025-2030 (5G-Advanced):
  • Continued Use of Legacy Bands: Ensuring backward compatibility and coverage.
  • Enhanced Low and Mid Bands: Increased focus on low (e.g., 600 MHz) and mid bands (e.g., 6 GHz) to enhance network performance.
  • High Bands Utilization: Expansion in high band usage (e.g., 40 GHz) to support advanced applications.
3. Spectrum Beyond 2030 (6G):
  • Legacy Integration: Incorporation of legacy 2G/3G/4G/5G/5G-A spectrums into the 6G framework.
  • Centimetric Range (7-15 GHz): Essential for maintaining a balance between coverage and capacity.
  • Sub-THz Range: Exploring frequencies such as 92-114 GHz and 130-175 GHz to support unprecedented data rates and new applications.


Transitioning from 4G to 5G SA and 5G Advanced

1. Infrastructure Assessment and Upgrade:
  • Evaluate Current Infrastructure: Assess existing 4G infrastructure to identify upgrade needs.
